Bellwood this week looks to take care of business at home by executing the little things.
“Bellefonte is pretty good team. They have some speed and size, but we are going to have to continue to take care of the little things like, tackling, ball security, and executing our assignments,” said Coach Lovrich.
Bellwood looked great last week, blowing the Lions out. The passing game worked out for Bellwood with Bradyn Partner, who threw for for 3 touchdowns and 145 yards. Ethan Shawley caught 2 touchdowns for 100 yards, and Jeffery Waite caught a touchdown tallying 45 yards. Bellwood’s defense was impressive, as well, with Jackson Dorminy getting 2 pick-six’s to go along with one other interception from Brady Hostler.
The rushing squad did great with Alex McCartney rushing for 101 yards and Chase Plummer with 85 yards. The team rushed for 216 yards.
Bu despite those strong numbers, Bellefonte remains a challenging opponent as a 4A school, and B-A’s players know they have to be prepared.
“This is a big game tonight. We have to come in and be ready to play,” said Ethan Shawley.
Bellwood so far this season has tallied 675 yards passing and 1,453 rushing yards.
The Bellefonte Raiders last week lost to Richland in a tight close game 33-29, dropping their record to 3-5. Bellefonte rushed for 80 yards and passed for 67 yards.
